Hybrid power plant application
This training is not only theoretical, but also practical, thanks to our power plant didactic test and simulation benches.
An optional additional day will cover the management of a BESS (battery storage) running on renewable energies and/or generators, with or without a power grid.
An optional additional day will familiarize you with the advanced programming and operating tools available for CRE controllers.
Objectives
- Know the different types of generator applications (Auto start, AMF, generators paralleling, mains paralleling, ...)
- Understand the differences and interactions between frequency/voltage and active power/reactive power
- Understanding the differences and interactions between droop and isochronous/isovoltage.
- Understand the advantages and issues when generators, renewable energy sources and a storage system operate together with or without an electrical grid
- Understanding the differences and interactions between grid forming and grid following
- Configuring and operating CRE Technology controllers through their front face, the color touch HMI, and the PC software.
- Troubleshoot failures/problems
