The GENSYS 2.0 MARINE PMS proposed by CRE TECHNOLOGY will help you answer all queries regarding synchronization of generators and power transfer with the shore. CRE TECHNOLOGY has been present in the world of synchronization for more than 30 years and has many references in fields such as yachting, shipping or the navy.
This case study presents a solution for two auxiliary generators paralleling with the shore power. The installation is equipped with 2 x 125 kVA Kohler gensets controlled by GENSYS 2.0 MARINE and paralleling in automatic or manual mode with the following main functionalities:
- Automatic start/stop depending on load and preferential management
- Priority selection via front panel
- Automatic dead busbar management
- Reverse power protection
- Standard electrical protections
- Non-essential load management
- Load sharing redundancy
To provide the paralleling solution including load transfer to the shore CRE TECHNOLOGY has installed an automatic synchronization system managed from the GENSYS 2.0 MARINE:
- External analog synchronization
- Shore loss protection management
- Automatic synchronization and load transfer
The solution implemented allows the load to be switched from on-board to shore or vice versa simply by the action of a selector switch. The entire sequence is automated and secure, including monitoring for loss of shore power even when the gensets are stopped in « shore » mode.
This system implementation was supported by a comprehensive pre-study and after-sales service provided by our engineering department, using the marine case study form.
Non-essential load management
The GENSYS 2.0 MARINE allows loads not essential to on-board protections to be disconnected on overloads or underfrequencies detections.
